Greco-Roman wrestlers from the “Neftchi” Sports Club, representing the Azerbaijani national team, secured two medals at the U-17 European Championships held in Samokov, Bulgaria.
Competing in the 55 kg weight category, Gurban Majnunov faced Russia’s Edem Payziyev in the decisive final match. Majnunov earned a silver medal following a narrow 1:2 defeat. Additionally, Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) concluded the continental championship in third place, securing a bronze medal.
