The U-17 European Wrestling Championships continue in Samokov, Bulgaria. Today marked the conclusion of the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions.
Greco-Roman wrestlers from the Neftchi Sports Club secured two additional medals at the tournament:

  • Huseyn Mustafazade (51 kg) claimed third place on the podium after a decisive early victory (9:1) over Davit Shavadze of Georgia in the bronze medal match.
  • Zohrab Safarov (92 kg) also earned a bronze medal, achieving a commanding win (9:0) by technical superiority against Vladislav Vasilevski of Moldova in the third-place bout.
    It is worth noting that Neftchi Sports Club’s Greco-Roman wrestlers had previously secured two other medals: Gurban Majnunov (55 kg) earned silver, while Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) took home bronze.
