Neftchi Sports Club judoka Zelim Tckaev claimed the gold medal at the Grand Prix tournament held in Qingdao, China. Competing in the men’s 81 kg weight category, Tckaev defeated Austria’s Bernd Fasching in the final bout to secure the top place on the podium.

Competing in the same weight category, Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov earned the bronze medal after defeating Yegor Sukhoparov in the contest for third place.

It should be noted that another Neftchi Sports Club judoka, Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), had earlier finished the tournament in third place, also claiming a bronze medal.
