The U20 European Wrestling Championship continues in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.

Representing the “Neftchi” Sports Club, women’s wrestler Ruzanna Mammadova (62 kg) displayed great determination and became the European champion.

In the decisive final bout for the gold medal, she defeated Turkey’s Özdenur Özmez with a score of 6:0.

It should be recalled that earlier, our club’s women’s wrestler Gunay Gurbanova (59 kg) won the silver medal. Among our Greco-Roman wrestlers, Ayxan Javadli (60 kg) and Elmin Aliyev (82 kg) also secured bronze medals at the prestigious competition.
