Two more boxers from the “Neftchi” Sports Club have reached the stage of the world championship held in Liverpool, England. Our athlete Nijat Huseynov (55 kg) faced Cuban Rolando Martinez Perez. The fight, which took place within the framework of the 1/16 final stage, ended with a confident victory for our representative. Our representative defeated his opponent with a score of 4:1 (28:29, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28). He will hold his next match against Bilguunsaykhan Kharkhu (Mongolia).
Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) also entered the round of 16. He eliminated Albanian Amar Kochi from the competition – 4:1 (30:27, 29:28, 29:28, 28:29, 30:27). Our boxer will face Hungarian Filip Akilov in his second match.
