An archery competition among employees of oil, gas, and chemical industry enterprises was held under the organization of Neftchi Sports Club. The tournament took place at the Fokus Archery School and brought together 23 participants (16 men and 7 women) representing eight organizations.

In accordance with the competition rules, the event was held individually in the men’s and women’s categories, with each participant shooting six arrows from a distance of 10 metres. The winners and prize-winners were determined based on the total number of points scored.

The main purpose of the competition was to promote the efficient use of leisure time among employees of organizations and joint ventures operating under SOCAR, strengthen friendly relations among them, and encourage a healthy lifestyle and participation in mass sports. In addition, the tournament aimed to identify and form the team that will represent SOCAR in the corresponding competition to be organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports among employees of government institutions.

In the men’s competition, Elshad Yusifov, an employee of the Neftgaztikinti Trust, became the tournament winner. Murad Aliyev (SOCAR Polymer Plant) finished second, while Elshad Abdullayev (Neftqazelmitadqiqatlayihe Institute) took third place.

In the women’s competition, Ilaha Hajiyeva (SOCAR Polymer Plant) outperformed all her rivals to claim the top spot on the podium. Arzu Jafarzade (SOCAR Polymer Plant) won the silver medal, while Esmira Nasraddinova (Neftgaztikinti Trust) secured the bronze.

The participants who finished in first, second, and third places were awarded diplomas, medals, and valuable commemorative gifts by Neftchi Sports Club.
