As part of the Judo World Championships held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, athletes elected representatives to the IJF Athletes’ Commission. As a result of the election, 5 members were elected by the athletes’ vote, and 4 members were appointed by the IJF Executive Committee.
Representative of the “Neftchi” Sports Club, Olympic, world and four-time European champion Hidayat Heydarov was elected as a member of the Athletes’ Commission by the decision of the IJF Executive Committee.
It should be noted that the new composition will operate for a four-year term covering the years 2025–2029.
