The Hasan Gemici and Gazanfer Bilge Memorial Wrestling Tournament was held in the Turkish city of Kocaeli. 433 athletes from 24 countries joined the competition for the title of winner.
Representatives of the “Neftchi” Sports Club won 6 medals (3 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze) in the tournament.
One of our freestyle wrestlers, Ruslan Abdullayev (65 kg), defeated all his rivals and won the gold medal.
Greco-Roman wrestlers Ruslan Nurullayev (77 kg) and Tuncay Vazirzade (87 kg) climbed to the highest step of the podium. Sarkhan Mammadov (130 kg) won silver, and Nihat Mammadli (63 kg) and Beka Kandelaki (130 kg) won bronze medals.
