The para taekwondo athletes of “Neftchi” Sports Club won one gold and two bronze medals at the President’s Cup tournament held in Nuremberg, Germany.

Among our Paralympians, Sabir Zeynalov (58 kg) defeated all of his opponents and became the tournament champion. Imamaddin Khalilov (70 kg) and Amin Aliyev (63 kg) were awarded bronze medals.

It should be noted that the tournament offered ranking points for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Paralympic Games.

It is also worth recalling that our athletes recently delivered a successful performance at the Grand Prix in Rome, Italy, which featured some of the world’s highest-ranked para taekwondo athletes. On that occasion, Sabir Zeynalov won the gold medal, while Imamaddin Khalilov claimed the bronze medal.
